Talisman Mountaineering was established in 1992 by Ron Walker (MIC, IML) and is based at Aviemore in the breathtaking Cairngorms National Park in Scotland. A long established local business which has kept its focus on providing a personal service to climbers, adventure seekers and hillwalkers from all backgrounds.

Since early 2000 operating as Cairngorm Guides for local activities, course directors and instructors Ron & Fi Chappell (IML), with decades of experience and knowledge between them, have been dedicated to imparting this wisdom to help you safely on your journey, whether doing it for personal development, greater confidence, or simply, to experience the thrill of adventure.

During busy periods other local Mountain Leaders, IFMGA Guides and AMI Mountaineering Instructors are chosen as much for their personal friendly qualities and safety record as for their qualifications. All are equally qualified, experienced and at the height of their profession. Like you we all love nature and our guides knowledge of local history, geology, flora and fauna will no doubt be a delight to many.
